Both the video and audio drivers for my Hauppauge Win-TV card were installed automatically, but I'm unable to install the TV tuner's software. I also tried using Windows Vista Media Center, but it was unable to locate a TV tuner. Any suggestions?

Hauppauge Win-TV
Media Center requires a hardware mpeg2 card.

My winfast 2000 TV tuner works with vista. I had to use the drivers Vista installed and the newest version of the Winfast software.

I just bought a Hauppauge Win-TV-PVR150 MCE Kit and I installed it in Vista, what I did was I installed the card then Vista asked for the cd and I left it alone, opened Media Center in Vista and configed the TV tuner and everything worked but the remote control?? Can anyone help me with that?

Hi John unless you have Hardware Encoder like PVR 150, 250, 350, 500, USB2, ATI 550 Pro, NVIDIA DualTV or some thing like that then Media Center will not work. What did you try using the CD setup then must likely it will not work becuases it dose OS check.

Does your remote have the "green button" on it or is it a hauppauge remote? The hauppauge remote does not work on Media Center *unless* you use the supplied ir.exe program used on WinTV and re-write the ini file I think it was.

Yes it's the MCE remote control, it has the "green button" (it has the Windows logo on it).

OK. I was under the impression that Hauppauge had released a download pack on their website however it is my mistake. You could however try the following: http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/pvr150/pvr150_2035_23297beta.zip
I originally had a PVR150 retail however now use a PVR-USB2. When I get a sec, I will plug the PCI card into a machine and see what results I get!
